MUCH MUSIC VIDEO AWARDS 2015
Show opening for the 2015 Much Music Video Awards. SYMBIOSIS: The mutual benefit of interacting for the betterment of both involved. Much like the instinctual connection between humanity and music, we coexist, to reflect, inspire and recreate ourselves and our lives through the creation of music. The Much Music Video awards are a celebration of the years most notable music, we capture the symbiosis of culture, of history, of entertainment and ourselves. We experience stories and life’s best and worst offerings through the therapy of sound, and we seek to translate and honour this connection in the form of an organic, biotic, being. Our proposal for MMVAs 2015 is one which celebrates and explores the creation of lifeforms that capture the essence of music, that grow and react, and combine to create a mesmerizing display of hidden worlds. This imagery would be experimental and imaginative, lush with fresh palettes, and compelling, cinematic, compositions. Motifs of the transition from deep dark hues with glowing neon accents that slowly evolve into a softly bright atmosphere. Imagine if many ecosystems of such musically-inspired corals, amoeba, and molecules swelled and swayed in an endless array of curiosity. We wish to take the viewer on an oddessey of the imagination, to elevate our appreciation of music, to delight.
