Gold Winner of Global PromaxBDA 2013 in ART DIRECTION & DESIGN: SPORTS PROGRAM BUMPER Silver Winner of North America PromaxBDA 2013 in ART DIRECTION & DESIGN: SPORTS PROGRAM BUMPER Cabbie Presents is a show that features interviews and segments with athletes and professionals from all spectrums of sport in a more humorous light. The main objective was to create an animation connecting both the sports and the reporting world while keeping the look fresh and contemporary. Our goal was to create a bumper that reflected the youthful energy and irreverent personality of the on-air host “Cabbie”. With no access to live action footage and still images the challenge was to build a fully graphical animation package under a two-week deadline. The result was a dynamic travel combining core sport elements with a modern take on a reporter’s microphone. The intended audience was male 18-55 and was successful in gathering new viewership from a younger demographic.
